The Development of Commercial Sustainable Building in Canada: |
There are an increasing number of excellent sustainable buildings being designed and constructed for the commercial market. Companies like Mountain Equipment Coop, who are truly interested in promoting the environment, along with other companies who wish to make an environmental statement, are leading the way. Some use quite specific sustainable practices and materials, others work towards energy efficiency in ways that are hardly telling when you look at the buildings. LEED has played a large role in influencing the marketability of sustainable building in both the US and Canada. |
